Asking out on a second date
A couple of months ago I started talking to a women off one of the popular dating sites. We were regularly emailing and a couple of weeks ago I started calling her. The conversations were always going over an hour or so. Then she moved from where she was living out west to DC closer to me (for work). Which happened last week and this past Saturday we finally went out in DC. Went for drinks and dinner and the date wasn't over until 1am. She confirmed she enjoyed the date and I asked if she would want to go out again and she said yeah. Now its Monday night and Im wondering when is the right time to call and what to do. Where to go and all that. I know how to treat and handle women but I don't want to screw this one up.

The right time to call is when you want to call. In other words, go with what your heart tells you. If she was sincere in telling you she had a good time than she is probably waiting for you to call her. The best thing you can do is just be yourself, don't try to follow 'supposed' rules, there are none. Call her just to say 'hello'. And, for your next date, keep it simple. Go on a walk or a picnic, do something where you can really talk and get to know each other. One of my favorite dates was eating pizza in the park. Don't try to play it cool, just keep it real. Good luck!

I have no idea how old OP is - but an invitation to eat pizza in the park would really be a turn off for me. I think it's more about the company than the place. I have no problem with a picnic, by the way.

I find that you can get to know people over dinner in a restaurant. The female in this relationship should use her head, meet OP in public places for a date or two and then decide if private places, no one close (such as a park) are a good idea.

I definitely don't think all dates have to be big money dates - but I do think the female has to stay safe.

Yes, pizza in the park perhaps for pre teens and some teens. But that is a afternoon where you are just being together.

But are you talking on the phone, texting, emailing, just to talk, or did you just stop all communication at the date ?

So how often were you emailing or texting before you dated, I guess when I had a online relationship ( we ended up getting married) we chatted every night, and called on the phone every two or three days after 3 months.

But if you enjoyed and want to plan another date, then do it, or at least call and talk with her ( not asking about past date, just talking) if nothing else

F-1 to H-1, what's the start date of H-1? Should be approval date or visa issue day? [ 3 Answers ]

As I mention before, I changed from F-1 to H-1 last year. I got my H-1 status in Feb 2004, but I went to my home country to get the H-1 visa stamp in August 2004. So I would like to know for counting my H-1 status, is it the date that USCIS (the Immigration) approved (which is Feb 1st), or the...
