STD? Worried its serious too
Hi, I'm new to this, but here goes... help
I met a guy, and a few days after sex, which we forgot to use any protection for (a vital mistake and not what I usually do) It ended after only a few weeks, I am now worried that he's given me something.
I don't want to be so descriptive, but I guess its best so any 1 can figure out from the symptoms.
Right well at first it was just uncomfortable, and then a few days later it stings when I urinate, I thought this might of just normal as a few friends have had it and its due to rougher sex. But then I noticed blood in my urine, only a small amount each time, and its starts to feel itchy down there now... I'm really worried and hope you guys can help me:confused:

Shopoholic,
I am not an expert, but you may just have a UTI, Urinary Tract Infection. It can happen in many ways, including during sex. The way the dr explained it to me is that bacteria can get into the vaginal area and cause an infection. The bacteria can get there by dirty hands, or not wiping properly, or even while having sex. If the guys penis or hands touched your anus area then touched your vaginal area, bacteria might have been spread causing an infection.
Here are some sites you should check out.
UTI's:

Urinary tract infection (UTI) - MayoClinic.com
This is just an idea since you mention the burning when peeing, and blood. I am not familiar with STD's that cause blood in the urine, but I wouldn't count them out. The itching down there I am not sure of. I have had a UTI before, and I don't remember any itching... You may still have an STD though, and I strongly recommend going to a doctor for a check up. You need to know positively what is wrong and get some antibacterials for the UTI, if that is what you have. You have already been irresponsible for not using a condom, now you need to be responsible and take care of your body.
If you are showing other symptoms you should look into other STD's. But please go to your doctor whether you feel comfortable. It is important to know the risks of STD's and knowing how to protect yourself.

Both men and women gt UTI's, though it is much more common in women... due to our structure down there being more open... figures huh?
I am not familiar with demaria.. I am just another girl like you, not a physician of any sort. Hopefully when one of the more experienced women or doctors/nurses come on they will be able to answer that one for you.

Yes, it sounds like a UTI coupled with a yeast infection. However, it is imperative that you get to your doctor ASAP.
UTIs typicall do not get passed back and forth. The reason men do not get UTIs is that their urethra (the tube inside the body that carries urine from the bladder out of the body) is longer than in women.
Now about the demaria, no such thing. It could be that she was talking about chlamydia? I don't know, but sounds as though it is a UTI. Get to the doctor girl, and don't be so hasty picking out sexual partners. Some diseases are incurable you know.
