    House Contract
I am about to do a contract on a house I plan to purchase. I'd like suggestions on whether I should put my full name, first and last, on the contract or just last name and first initial? Can I use this format on all transactions? Reason: privacy. I don't want my name to be listed on other documents, internet or phone books, etc. Any tips?

I would recommend using you full legal name. Privacy is understandable, but do you really want to take a risk on such a large investment by placing a.k.a. on your property title? A property deed is the legal document which transfers the property from your seller to you. You should review it carefully at settlement to make sure that your name (or names) are spelled correctly, and that the legal description is correct. If you are taking title with another person (a spouse or a friend) make sure that the status of title is the way you want it. If you are in doubt as to how title should be structured, discuss the matter with your legal advisor.
