Background / Education Check
I'm applying for a position and it states "Knowledge ordinarily acquired through a bachelor's degree". I do not have a bachelor's degree, however I have 15 years experience. Do you think this will be a problem? The manager did say that they conduct background checks and asked me how my credit and criminal record was... I told the manager I'm all good with no negative information. Will my background report show my education? I did not say I have a bachelor's degree nor did I list it on my resume. Thoughts??

Your background check will only show criminal activity. You must have indicated someway that you had completed continuing education; otherwise why would they think that ? You do not have a BA so why would you apply for a job that required one?

If they want to check your education record they could, but since actually having a degree was not a prerequisite for the position, they may decide your years of experience is sufficient, or an even greater asset, than having a degree.
Good luck... hope it works out for you!

If you gave the impression that you had a degree or it is a requirement, then you better make sure they understand you don't. Because they will find out you don't.

You have no bachelor's degree but you do have something that's very important -- fifteen years of experience that is the same as "knowledge ordinarily acquired through a bachelor's degree."
For this position, you need knowledge from a bachelor's or knowledge from experience. You've got the latter. Your resume should reflect that and be a functional (skills-based) one.
