Door will not open from outside -durango 2001
I have a dodge durange 2001 . The door will not open from the outside . It will open from the inside. I opened the door panel and it tooks like the mechanic rod will not engage the locking mechcanism all the way when you use the outside handle, while it engages all the way with the inside. Any suggestions on how to fix.. Did something maybe fall off. Does anyone have a diagram. Both rods are connected.

Perhaps the best way to determine what's not working properly is to open the door panel on the other side and compare the operation. A rod may be attached but not going through it's full movement or may have gotten bent slightly.

Both ends of both rods need to be firmly attached.
