    Can the amp meter be disconnected on a dodge Ramcharger
    On a 1977 Dodge Ramcharger can the amp meter be disconnected and the vehicle still run.

    Sure.

    See if this is your setup:

    The ammeter is likely connected, in series, to the fusible link wire going to the starter motor. Simply disconnect the ammeter and reattach the fusible link wire to the starter motor.
