My two brothers and I received $10,000 each from an environmental accident when we were all under the age of 15. My father somehow gained access to ALL of it and it was spent. Now that I am of age, is there any recourse to get some or all of this money back. I live in Louisiana. There were NO unusual health reasons for him to have spent it, but he was in jail for 2 1/2 years and claimed he gave it to his mother to raise us. She received social security benefits for us due to my mothers death years before. My grandmother is now deceased so we cannot verify this claim! Any help appreciated...

Do you have any details about how the money was placed in trust? Do you know who paid the money? If a trust was setup, then an accounting may have had to be made.
