    Can I go to jail over credit card debt
    Threats about credit card debt, if they get a civil judgement can they put me in jail?

    Only in cases of fraud. Typically they will garnish your wages and any bank account you will ever have after they win in court... and they may hound you until the day you die... but typically you won't get tossed in jail.

    Smoothy is quite right in saying that you won't be sent to jail for credit card debt. It may take a fraudulent use of credit cards to send you to jail.
