What mass of steam initially at 100 C is need to warm 400 g of ice from 0 C to 30 C. Asssume that both objects in the final state are in equibrium.

1. Find the total energy required to melt the ice and heat it to 30 C

2. That energy is the total energy that you need to cool water at 100 C to 30 C and cool steam to water at 100 C.

So, you basically have:

$Q = m_{ice}L_{fusion} + m_{ice}c_{water}\theta_{0-30}$

That same Q,

$Q = m_{steam}L_{vapourisation} + m_{steam}c_{water}\theta_{30-100}$

You have to find m(steam)
