    Child abandonment
My husband is a Filipino Citizen when we got married in the Philippines. He went to the Us for work after we got married. He then acquired a US Citizenship. When he was in the US, he seldom communicate with his family. Later then, I found out that he was contracted 3 marriages with different women. Two in the US, and 1 in the Philippines. I was generally amazed why he contracted 3 marriages while we are still married. Much to my surprise, I found out that he filed a dissolution of marriage against me. I learned also that the dissolution of marriage that he filed was being granted to his favor. A lot of questions bother me, why the dissolution of married was being granted by the superior court, though, I haven't received any noticed of filing done by my husband. As far as I know, there might be a notice to be sent to the respondent, if there was a petitioner for a dissolution of married. A lot of questions also bothers me because, when he was in the US, he seldom sent a support for his family. My husband was a US merchant marine, an able seaman receiving a high standard salary. How can I file a child support against him? My children are not getting any younger and my children are in need for a support from their father because of a very high cost of living. My husband abandoned us since 2001. What should I do?

File in your local family court for current (if applicable) and back child support, using his last known address.
Courts do try to notify the other party. He probably used a last known address for you and you moved, or he lied about where you lived, or said you took off to parts unknown.
You needed to keep closer tabs on him for 10 years. The courts can only do so much.
Bigamy is surprisingly easy in the US, with marriage records kept by the 50 states individually.

How did you find out what he's been doing, and about the divorce?

Hi joypulv, thanks for answering, I find out what he is doing when one of my cousins told me that he contracted marriage again with a lady Doctor residing here in the Philippines. I found out the whereabouts of the said girl and I confronted her. She then showned to me some documents coming from the US stating that we are now divorced because my husband filed a dissolution of marriage in the United States and it was being granted by the Superior court of the US. I told her that I haven't received any notice from the Superior Court of the US about it but she just ignore me.

She even showed to me some documents of his 2 other marriages from different ladies which was being dissolved also by the Superior Court of the US, which was being submitted to them by my husband when the girls family ask him about his status. I can't even blame this lady, my husband is just a big liar, or a user.
