    6 l ford diesel problems?
I have a 2005 E-350 ford van with a 6L diesel. It will start when it is cold. Does not start when the moter is hot. Seems to run fine, till you turn it off.
    Thanks,
    Mike

On diesel engines that will not restart, after they are warmed up, it's often a sign of a tired fuel pump. As they heat soak, inside pump head clearances increase and it will no longer develop sufficient fuel pressure at cranking speed. While it's running, fuel helps cool the pump by carrying the heat away. Only replace it with a new Motorcraft fuel pump.
