Is there a problem for my micro-wave oven?
    Hello all,

I have a micro-wave oven that sometimes causes the electric switch switch off on the main electric main board. It doesn't happen often, once per three or four weeks. I can simply fix the problem by turning the switch back. I guess the micro-wave oven causes the wire overloaded sometimes.

Is it still safe to use this micro-oven or we have to buy a new one?

    Thank you

In some sense the breaker is at least doing a "safety" job for you. We don't know what your oven amperage is, what the wire gauge is, what the circuit breaker amperage is, how many other appliances are on the circuit so it's hard to say if it's the MW or generally overloaded wires. Can you give us a little more detail?

A microwave oven can use 15 amps of power sometimes. If a refrigerator is on the same circuit and starts while the microwave is running it will trip breaker. You may need to put it on a different circuit by itself. DrTom4444
