    How would I get emancipated?
    Hello I'm 17 and will be 18 on apirl 9 2012. I am on bad terms with my mom, and don't feel wanted. I can't live with her anymore. How would I get emancipated so I can live with my anut.

    You can't! In areas that allow emancipation, you get emancipated you have to show that you can live on your own, not with someone else. Also the likelihood of the emancipation process taking less than a year is extremely small.

    You can talk to your parents and suggest to them that you both need some space and ask if they can give your aunt temporary guardianship.

    Agree with Scott, your aunt can try and work out a deal wth your mom if she is willing

    But you will have to first have a valid reason, and then prove you have the money and the funds to live on your own.
