Any advice on my credit card fraud situation?
Im 19, and this is my first charge/arrest.. yesterday I had 2 cards both with my name on it but with another persons info.. I didn't do the work it took to make those cards but nobody knows that yet. Anyway me and a friend(21) of mine got caught and I was released the same night with no bail but conditions. I received more charges than my friend though, even though he was more so the conspirator in all this. Is there any way I can prove I didn't make the cards but just receieved them from a 3rd party? On the cameras, body language showed that I was the follower as he walked in first.. and also for another store, he also walked in and spoke to the employer. He probably has a criminal record, and he resisted arrest while I was cooperative. Do these details matter in court? I feel horrible and will never do this again.

    I was charged with

    attempt fraud under $5000 x 3
use credit card obtained by crime
possess credit card obtained by crime

if convicted, is it possible I could get a pardon and how long would it take? With a pardon, would my business management degree be effective for jobs? Thanks guys.

    Hello k:

Only if you snitch on your partner... But, it won't make you less guilty of the crime... The get-away driver is just as guilty as the bank robber.

Sure, you can receive a pardon... But, that's only if you're found guilty... There may be MANY ways you can avoid a conviction being a first offender.. Snitching on your buddy isn't one of them. Hire a lawyer to find out more.

But snitching out everyone, from your buddy, to the people who made or got the cards, ( if they don't come after you to make sure you don't testify that is)

But if they have enough evidence and you are convicted, a pardon is not likely, esp for many years.

You made a choice, new it was wrong and illegal and not want to blame someone else for your choice,
