    Granddaughter coming to live with Grandparents
    My Granddaughter plans on leaving home this summer to visit us but does not plan on going back home after summer break. She lives ina very bad home and would love to live with us and finish her last to years of high school here. She is 16 yrs old . I;m not sure about the Laws on the age for leaving home. She will be well taken care of.
    She will have a nice place to live and will be happy with her Poppa and Nana. Plese help me with any advice.

    She can't live with you (and switch schools) without permission from her parent(s), unless Social Services in her town deems her living situation unfit, which you can try to get started, or she can talk to a school counselor. SS may chose to investigate and they may not, since many teens want to leave home just because they don't get along with parents.
