    Can he go to jail?
    Hi my name is destinee I live in Michigan. I turn 16 November 23 and my boyfriend turns 20 December 2 can he go to jail if we have sex?

    Yes, if you have sex before November 23rd and if your parents are against the relationship.

    Age of consent in Michigan is 16. So yes, he could be prosecuted for having sex with you. Even after you turn 16, if your parents have told him to stay away and he doesn't, he could be prosecuted for parental interference.

    Frankly, a 19 yr old has no business being in a relationship with a 15 yr old. The differences between interests and maturity levels at those ages is extremely wide.
