    Bankruptcy
    I filed a bk7 pro se in 2005. I had not worked for over 5 years. Once I began working I received 3 writ of garnishment that was included in tbe 2005. K7 in az. Is this legal? I just resigned and I received another writ in
    Cluded in my bk. Do I need to respond to that writ if I am no longer working a.d do not plan to work?

    So you filed chapter 7 in 2005 and 2007? A Chapter discharges listed debts in return for you liquidating your assets. So if these debts were discharges, then they have no right to try to collect them.

    However, I have to question your willingness to quit working to avoid paying your debts.

    What were the judgements for, most judgements will be discharged in bankrutpcy and they can not collect, the courts will need to be notified of the bankrutpcy filing and get their orders overturned.

    In fact it is illegal for them to try and collect money that has been discharged.

    Of course some debts can not be discharged or normally are not. Taxes, government student loans, fines, some payments based on criminal behavior
