    Can I just walk out on this bad deal?
    I have been in a Contract for deed 5 yrs paying all mortgage and taxes. The owner's ex-husband never filed the paperwork and can't find the original. The mortgage is going up and now there are non-homestead taxes I can't afford.

    The owner HOPES you do walk away because he'll just sell it to somebody else and keep ALL your money.
