Call the Vet and ask. If the Vet saw her, prescribed, she's still having problems, she could have a blockage.
Call the Vet - now.

I would guess you need to give your dog an enima. If the dog says she's consitpated, then they need to fix it.
You can give it yourself or take her in for it.. If you decide to do it yourself, please use the brand FLEET.. it is safe for pets...

Straining to 'go' doesn't automatically mean she is constipated. Quite often, straining is the result of a bowel upset causing fairly severe diarrhea. Diarrhea is the body's attempt to eliminate the irritation material. When the irritation is still present, but there is no more 'poo', the dog strains to go... just the opposite of constipation. In fact, constipation usually results from not having any urge to 'go'.
Did the vet ask if she had been vaccinated against Parvo? Will she drink water?
Has she been fixed (spayed)? If not, has she recently been in heat? Sorry to raise more questions, but there are several other possibilities for why she won't eat and is vomiting.

I find this to be a dangerous practice without specific advice from a Vet. I don't see any guarantee that she is constipated.

I agree with the other post... if she is empty, and still straining, then she'll need another remedy... typically something like imodium AD that will stop the cramping and give her poor bottom a rest. I have seen a dog get a prolapsed rectum do to severe straining..

Comment on Lucky098's post
If she is also vomiting, she needs a better diagnosis to quiet her gut further... it's irritated enough that it is making her vomit. I'm sort of holding out for a Parvo dx. Thanks for mentioning the prolapse,

This is dangerous advice. The dog needs to see a Vet. If it has a blockage or similar problem the worst thing you can do is give the dog a medication that MIGHT cause diarrhea.
