    My grandma died and left me inheritance ( Money ) does it have to go through court? My Dad is the Executor of her estate

    Your father needs to apply to the court to be named as executor and to file appropriate papers regarding the dispersal of the estate's assets. You as an heir do not need to do anything - whatever inheritance distribution you receive is yours free and clear.
