    my brake lights aren't working and my brake and abs light is on in my dash
    97 dodge ram 1500 5.9l V8 4x4

    Have the system scanned for codes and check all the fuses.

    . Test all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter:

    . Check for codes. You may need an ABS code reader.

    . Check fluid level in the master cylinder.

    . Remove each wheel's ABS sensor (Torx E8) and clean with WD-40.
