Been doing this for 45 years and never heard this term before. I will assume we are talking about domestic fresh water supply to a home. We run main supply lines to different areas of the home, usually 3/4" copper. When we reach a site like a bathroom we tap from the mains and can drop down to 1/2" depending on the fixture we are supplying.

I was once told a wet moose walks backwards at night, only when a old buzzard whistles in his sleep.

Moose antler sounds like a manifold system with PEX. Not sure of your meaning but that's kind of what it looks like.

Piping for basement slab heating [ 2 Answers ]

I am installing a new basement and want to install piping in the slab in case I decide to use under floor heating later. 1) Can I use the normal water supply type 1/2" PEX? 2) Is there ideal layout because this stuff is fairly stiff to allow tight bends? Thanks Phil
