Can home owners install their own electrical box upgrade.
I am familiar with working with electricity and have done sister boxes and relocation of boxes. Where di U go if I want to upgrade my electrical box from 100 to 200. A person from edison told me they couldn't upgrade the current unless the new box has been signed off. Can a home owner file for the permit and get it signed off by the city.

In most states, homeowners are allowed to do their own electrical work in a single family home they own and live in.

Check with your local city or town building dept or code enforcement officer.
