Hello There,
Have Recently Purchased Aforementioned External Hard Drive But Am Having Major Problems Using It.
Have Followed Instructions On Installation Correctly, But Every Time I Try To Access The New Drive My Computer Freezes And Has To Be Re-booted. I Am Using Windows Me Operating System. ( Drive Is Showing Up On Computer)
I Have Also Tried To Reformat The Drive But As Mentioned I Cannot Access It.
What Am I Doing Wrong, Can Anybody Help Please.

Ouch, well I can see your problem straight off.
Win ME + USB 2 WILL cause you untold problems.
I assume you are running the drive off an add card for the USB 2.
Best advice would be to upgrade to XP soonest.

Win ME IS the worst OS that Micro$oft ever made.

Hello There,
Yes I Have Been Told To Upgrade Asap But I Have Not Had Many Problems With Me And I Have Been Runnig It For The Last 5 Years?? My Wife Has Xp On Her Computer And Has Had More Bother Than I Have Had!! I Have Installed The Drive On Her Computer As Well And It Refuses To Format It. I Am Not Using A Usb Card As I Did Not Know That I Required One? Is There Anything Else That I Can Do To Get It Working.

Well this device requires a USB 2.0 port.
Your machine won't have one and your wife's may not be the correct spec, hence the problems you are having.

Time to get a USB 2.0 card and install it in either machine, your wife's would be the best idea.
This should resolve your issue.
