    No it looks very low. Is that what it says on your W2? What was taken out of your paychecks (and how often were you paid)? Were the W2s hand typed, and could yours be a mistake? Talk to your employer.

    With only 22k in income and filing married (jointly), you're looking at a taxable of income of $3000 after personal exemptions and the standard deduction. At 10% tax rate, that's $300 in federal taxes owed for the year (and that doesn't include the making work pay credit of $800). If anything, it seems like $536 is too high!

    Of course, if your spouse is also bringing in a paycheck that could change things dramatically. If so, you should change your W-4 at work to reflect that so the withholding is higher.

    It seems low to me for what was taken out, having claimed 0, not what is owed.
    I think OP is saying that the W2 doesn't match the deductions on the pay stubs for the year. That's about 10/week.
