Trying to find a movie title
The movie starts with a vietnam vet who is dying, takes his daughter to an old military buddy, who lives in the great forests of Washington or Oregon and leaves her with the friend then goes off to die. The little girls name is linny or lenny in the movie. The man is a famous older black actor, maybe laurence fishburne or morgan freeman not sure though.
