I installed Windows 7 update Service Pk 1 and NO Adobe Flash & other stangness?
AN UPDATE ON THIS MESSAGE I POSTED LAST NIGHT-The errors had slowed down considerably after the ReImage Fix, things are working smoother than ever , BUT also some odd things,, I close my laptop and it just shuts off, bouncing of the screen , just a nano-second but it's there, I started my PC this morning and after a few seconds I received the error message (blue screen) that's the first time Ive seen that sense my PC fix with ReImage? I can't keep up with all the stuff that came with the SP1-

I had a Windows update that I was having a lot of trouble loading,, Im running Windows 7 with 64 bit, Oh yeah a HP Notebook Pavilion Entertainment series. The update that started my decent into Hell was the Service PK 1. Right after it was installed I started noticing things weren't the same? I am not 'very' knowledgeable' with MOST of the Tech stuff but I know enough, I had never used the Windows Media player and it started poping up when I open my music, Flash not working and I had used it for years. Yes I prefer Foxfire over Internet Explorer but I must have had the Foxfire plug-in because it had always worked. I also have a 64 bit so I have researched this issue before? And as I write this Im thinking I should understand what happened but Im not risking it. One of the main reasons I don't want to chance this being , as well as all the other problems that started after that update I started having BSOD error 41! And used Reimage to get that fixed. Any suggestions would be so welcome as well as advice. Should I suck it up and get comfortable with Internet Explorer or down load the plug-in for FF to run with Flash but then I have Active X and the implications of what that program can cause :(
So any input would be greatly appreciated. Laura in AZ-

Windows XP update failures after Service Pack 2 installation [ 2 Answers ]

Since installing XP Service Pack 2, the few updates that have occurred subsequently have all failed to install after downloading. Downloading seems to reach 95% completion normally and then slows right down. 'failed' then appears against the update name.
