For the first time in my 20 month relationship with my boyfriend I had trouble getting wet. I appreciate that some times it can take longer, but both he and I stimulated myself and I was able to reach orgasm.

I am very much in love and attracted to my boyfriend so I'm confused as to why I'd still be so dry. I'm only 25, is this normal? Just a one off? Or could this signify something more serious?

It depends on how concerned you are. If this is very worrisome then you should make an appointment with your oby/gyn.

It could be a one off. You could be dehydrated. You could have had things on your mind. Stress. Exhaustion. You could be getting a cold or other sickness.

On occasion with will happen to a woman. Keeping a good bottle of lube in the bedside table would be a good thing, just in case.

What has your life been like lately? As I eluded to above have you been:
- stressed
- tired/exhausted/not sleeping well
- getting sick. Are sick. Getting over sickness
- How's your relationship with your man. Is there any relational issues?
- Have you been drinking enough water?
- What is your drug/alcohol use like? Pain killers, booze, pot. Over the counter, over the bar, and in the dark alley varieties.

Often this isn't a reaction to your feelings/thoughts towards your boyfriend. The mind and heart know and feel one thing and the body does another thing. Just think about how hard it is for men. They have their one true love, like your BF, but may pop a boner when a waitress walks by. The point is that the body has automatic responses and they're not really indicative of your heart and mind.

A visit to the doctor may help ease your mind.

That can answer a lot of questions , relieving some stress that just may be the culprit in the first place.

Reading your other posts, I certainly think stress may play a role in your difficulties, as you may be distracted, and now would be as good a time as any for a check up, and some possible healthy ways to relieve stress.

Hey, you are smack dab in the middle of building a life that you enjoy. Not just with your boyfriend, but with family, friends, and activities, and a career, that makes you happy. That would stress anyone out. A little help, may go along way.
