Husband TN visa, Wife non-resident alien (Canadian)
Hello,
I am on an TN visa and my wife is is a non resident alien who lives in canada but travel with me in the US quite often. I would like to know how should I declare my taxes since my wife does not have a US SSN or ITIN number. Should I get my wife a ITIN number or SSN before submitting my taxes. |

If this is still a valid question, you will file jointly with your wife and submit Form W-7 to get her an ITIN. This MUST be done in conjunction with your 2010 tax filing.
