The girl I like says she won't go out with me because she can't get close to people very easily but she says she trusts me and I know this because she has toled me that she has Genophobia(the fear of sex), I want to be with her but she says she has a lot of things to work out, should I even try to be with her?

She says she can't be with you as in a relationship with you?

Seems she's got issues that need sorting,so let her do that on her own.

Well,if you think you can handle a friendship,where you probably have expectations that it would go further,ask her out.

With the kind of issues you mention in your first post,there are usually a number of underlying problems that need sorting out with the help of a professional.

She should be able to get help from the student's counsellor if so.

I don't know what you should do either-I can only stand by the suggestions I have already made.

We both are in school and she has seen a counselor or a psychiatrist or something like that and she said it didn't help

The message is VERY clear, if you can't JUST be friends with no pressure for romance then you leave her alone. If you choose to be just a friend, make sure its one of many. And not exclusive. Don't spend so much time on just her that you lose your perspective, and get in to deep to get out of.

Consider this a warning to keep a very safe distance, emotionally.
