    Can a portuguese passport issued back in 1961 be renewed now?
    My family had Portuguese passports back in the 50s which we used to visit Goa since we lived in Pune. I want to know now, if we can have those passports renewed?

    Nope, you would have to reapply.

    Thanks for your prompt response. Its rather discouraging though. But tell me, would a reference to that document, make the processing any easier?
