    To apply for ITIN, file form W-7.

    Thanks for the response, I updated my question with more info but seems like just Half of it made it.

    The problem really is, I mailed my 1040 along with w-7 for my spouse and kids. Later, realized that I did not get w-7's signed. Tried having UPS return mail to sender, but in vain. I needed some advise on anything that I can do before w-7's are declined by IRS for not being complete (which I understand will take at least 6 Weeks) Can I visit an IRS office and submit all the docs?

    If I do not hear from IRS by Apr15, would I need to submit an extension?
