Locating the Tub from the Wall
Typically, how far away should the edge of a stand-alone (claw foot) tub be located from the wall? Should the edge of the tub be right next to the wall, six inches, one foot? The drain pipes and faucets are not a concern and can be adjusted. Thanks.

That is your choice, if I were doing it in my house I would leave enough room on either end of the tub to make housecleaning easier.

A "stand alone tub" means just that. You could put it out in the middle of the floor if you wished. Typically, in the interest of saving space, they install next to the wall. Regards, Tom
