    Parvo dog eating?
Our puppy has symptoms of parvo. She started by throwing up and loss of appetite, so immediately I started giving her gatorade and broth. I woke up every 30-45 minutes to feed it to her in a syringe. Then the next day she woke up and walked around and was fine. She was back barking, eating, wagging tail. So we figured it wasn't parvo, but then during the night she started with diarrhea that looked bloody and stunk really bad like death. She started back throwing up a lot, so started her on pedialite every 45mins to hour and bought Acidophilus. After giving her the acidophilus that night she threw up maybe once and had a big runny poop, next morning she pooped and it wasn't as runny and didn't have horrible smell. Gave her another pill today and still giving her pedialite, but today she is up walking around, barking and trying to eat and drink water. She is super skinny, but worried she can't eat food yet. Does anybody suggest or know if its safe to let her eat? She ate our cats food : ) I hope our puppy pulls through this!!

Hi Melanie, sorry to hear about your pup. I am including an excellent website regarding puppies and parvo and you should read it all the way through and take it in. It offers excellent into this disease, care and treatment. If the website turns up with a search feature, just put parvo puppies. Good luck and I hope your pup pulls through with your knowledgeable care.

Bland foods are the best for parvo rebounds, as long as she has no fever. Boiled rice with burger or chicken works the best I find. Make sure to keep socking the liquids to her. Please keep us posted, and if you have any furhter questions, don't hesitate to ask!
