1996 camry LE 4dr sedan 4cyl cranks but won't start?
Yesterday my camry was running fine. After the engine was off for about 4 hours, I tried to start it and nothing happened -- no cranking, no clicking noise, no bells, no dash lights. I jumped the battery (battery's about 2 years old) and still no cranking. I looked at the fuse blocks near the battery and the 100amp fuse was blown; I changed it and when I cranked the engine I heard a clicking sound and the dash lights lit up. I then jumped it and it cranked normally but it won't turn over.

2 weeks ago I was doing routing maintenance and found a mouse nest in the air cleaner! So I was thinking maybe a mouse ate some of the wire insulation somewhere? I had a mouse living in the trunk about a month ago and got rid of that one with a trap.

I checked the air cleaner and no sign of a mouse.

Also the transmission lever won't move out of park. I've tried it with the ignition on, with the brake pedal pressed, and it won't budge.

Any ideas of where to look for wire damage? Or maybe the blown fuse caused another electrical problem? Thanks

You definitely have other fuse problems if you had a 100!! Amp fuse pop.
Is the (2 yr old) (?) battery held down properly and not tilting?
How's the battery post connections and grounds? If you ask me, if you can replace that 100A fuse yourself, which is bolted in the fuse block, then these simple things I mentioned are easily checked.
Most important: when you turn the key on and all the dash lights light up, is the CEL lit up with all the rest? (very important)!

Be sure to test all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter.

Thanks, I rechecked the battery and fuses again, and I found 2 more blown fuses, the 15 and 20 amp fuses in the box behind the battery. I took out the battery and charged it all night, then put it back in with the new fuses, and it started up right away.
The only thing I can think of is that I must've crossed the jumpers when I jumped the battery, because I couldn't find any chewed wires anywhere.
The CEL light is not on, but the airbag light is on. Is that maybe another fuse somewhere?
