Restraining order on downstairs neighbor, lives with his brother, not resident really?
About 7 months ago a man moved downstairs in with his brother and sister and law. I was in a very bad relationship, I am a mother of a little girl, and the guy that I was with at the time was incessantly doing drugs, 'forgetting to help', drinking a lot etc all just not healthy stuff, behind my back. I finally just kicked him out and stopped seeing him. The downstairs neighbor that moved in told me that he knew a lot of stuff my ex was doing. The downstairs neighbor offered to watch my daughter, while I worked, but than after a bit started moving his stuff in. Yeah I was uncomfortable, but he was helping me so I agreed to just not bother him about it. Than when he found out I didn't want to be with him he kept hitting me. I left, but he incessantly messaged me claiming he was sorry he would go to anger management and aa, I thought it sounded like a good plan. I ended up moving back to my old apartment in my "new" relationship but he has become more and more violent over time and if I try to leave he pins me down and tells me I can't go anywhere, I can't be living like this with my daughter. I want him to leave me alone. He won't though. Can I put a restraining order on him. He hits me, chockes me until his brother comes upstairs and brings him down, and sometimes he tries to push back his brother, and lastnight he balled up his fist threatened to punch me with my daughter in my hands. Before it was not in front of her, but this was dangerous. He is not here now, due to his brother helping me get him out, but I know he isn't going to leave me alone.
