My best friends and I have been bestfrnds for a year... nw is in hyderabad bt I'm in banglore... v don't get to talk much.. infact v haven't spoken to each other for about 2 months... except for rare hi byes... she is tottaly cut off frm my life and I frm hers... yesterday I called her up bt there was sumkind of awkward silence building between so v said hi bye and I hung up... I really don't want to lose her... what do I do??

Do you both have a social networking site?
If so just drop a few wall posts every so often saying "miss you" or something like that.
For the moment, leave it like that...
Then try build it up, try call her more, talk to her more.. If you can, go meet her at some point. Promise you will and don't let her down.
If she still doesn't see it.. Tell her, tell her you miss it and why is she being like this.

I agree and disagree with phycocrazz's advice.

DO put in an effort to let her know you miss her and would like to be in contact with her more often. If she WANTS you to come visit her then and you do as well, then go for it.

DON'T push it any further than that. Maybe you two were best friends for a season but that season is over. If you push it too hard you are just going to push her away.

Sometimes close friends grow apart, but that doesn't mean they don't drop a line every once and a while. It also doesn't mean they don't still care for one another. If you sense that she is distancing from you, then just accept it and look for other friends.

Maybe she didn't hear you talk or she had a bad day don't call her for a while,then call and ask if she's OK.
