I have a 96 mitsubishi eclipse rs 2.0 ltr 16 valve 4 cy. It stalls out when I am driving down the road and it runs good when the ac is on and runs rough when the ac is off. What could be my problem?

1. Test all under-hood and under-dash fuses with a test light or multimeter.
2. Test for any DTCs, using a scan tool.
3. Go over the basic electrical system; i.e. make sure spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor, igniter, coil, and spark plug wires are in good shape. You may want to replace some or all.
4. Find out exactly how to set the idle rpm on your Eclipse.
5. Replace the fuel filter.
