Did you go to the police? If not, that would likely be the first step. If nothing else, you should get a restraining order against him. Do you live alone? Can you afford a security alarm system of any kind or are you on a limited income? Even on a limited income there are some inexpensive alarms you can put on your doors and/or windows. Ask around at different stores; look up some places in the phone book for some ideas/estimates. Also, ask neighbours to keep their eye out for you? If there is anyone you are close to nearby you might even be able to use something as simple as a baby monitor.

You have to do all you can to protect you and your unborn child while taking the power from him and empowering yourself. A battered women's shelter should be able to give you some valuable advice and support, too. Don't be afraid to call them!

Police? That is a crime! If you miscarry due to being beaten, that is murder. I highly suggest you ring the police.
