Out with a ceiling fan, in with a regular light.
I am taking a ceiling fan out and putting in a hanging light fixture. I have the common color wires on the light, black, white, and green. Other than the matching colors in the ceiling, I have a Red, Black, White, and Green. This light is operated on two different switches. What do I hook up for wires.

If you mean you have 2 switches, 1 for the fan and 1 for the light, both the red and black will be hot. Pick whatever switch you like, find what color wire is on that switch, use that wire for the light, put a wire nut on the other hot, some electricians tape too, and push it back into the ceiling box. You will still have a hot wire if you or someone else decides to put a fan back. The other switch will control nothing.
