How can I get my hair blonde after it has been dyed black a lot of times?
I've been dying my hair black for quite a while now and recently I've decided that I would like a change! What is the best way to attempt to try and get it even a light brown so I can then later on I go blonde. If you have any good ideas could you please tell me how much it would cost and how much damage it would cause?

Black hair dye builds up on the hair folicles and is extremely difficult to bleach out leaving your hair very very damaged. I would suggest getting a really short cut and letting it grow out if you want any hair left. Can't tell you how much it would cost, how could that be done not knowing where you live, what country, whatever.

My son died his hair black in Oct. Now his role in the musical requires blond hair. His director says this should be no problem, but our hairdresser says it is a 2 to 3 step process and very difficult and damaging to his hair (also expensive). Does anyone have any information on this?
