    Possibility of an heart attack?
My husband received a letter from hospital saying he had some "minor plaque disease"... an area of "atelactasis" in the lung field which prabably inflammatory in origin and medical therapy would be indicated particularly in view of "early atheroma". I am confused with these terminology? Does he need urgent medical attention and what is it likely to have him an heart attack?

What they are basically saying is that your husband has clogged arteries, probably due to very high cholesterol, eating the wrong type of fatty foods for too long without having a regular check up. Yes, he probably needs medical attention and starting now would be good. They will probably put him on a good diet and cholesterol medication, monitor his progress and see if there is any improvement.

Get him the help he needs.
