It goes back to my mother, who for years always had very accurate dreams, especailly when it came to someone being pregnant, she would always dream of that person before they had even found out themselves. Myself and my sister are the same, except while dreaming of the person being pregnant I will also dream when they give birth, and unlike my sister and mother I will always dream of a natural disaster that's about to happen. I rememeber having several dreams of the tsunami that struck the Indian Ocean killing many many people, I had no idea what a tsunami even was at the time, I just dreamt of laying on a beach and people running screaming because of this huge wave, after it happened I rememeber feeling quite guilty. I dream of fires that then happen, floods etc.

I'm trying to really listen to my dreams when I have these particular disastrous ones and was once able to warn some people at work that I had dreamt of a fire starting at our work place, which did happen about two days after.

Does this make me psychic?

I would say you are quite gifted. Like you, I have a gift that was handed down a few generations and that is reading an object belonging to someone. It doesn't always work, I think it works only for someone living, but a watch, ring, whatever belonging to a deceased person has no effect on me. Sometimes upon touching a piece of jewellery belonging to a friend I will suddenly have unpleasant or pleasant sensations, panoramic views, views of rooms.

We tend to ignore a gift as we mentioned, I think its because people who are gifted already know what their gift entails because it has been discussed within the family. Something like this has to be passed down and usually it goes to the female side of the family because in ancient times the matriarchs of a tribe where looked upon to do the 'readings'.
