    Wa `aleikumus-Salaam.
I swear by The One in Whose Hand is my soul you have truly obeyed Allaah and His Messenger -sAaws- in your decision, and you have made in sha Allaah an accepted hijrah.
WAllaahi I don`t often say swear by Allaah, but there is no boubt:
Correct decision, correct decision, correct decision.
Allaahs Messenger -sAaws- said: "La ta`at al-makhluuq fii ma`siat Al-Khaaliq" : "There must be no obediance to a created one in disobediance to The Creator." He -sAaws- also advised to look in marriage for the persons Religion and character. He also said many statements concerning those who abandon Solaah that they may not even be muslims, but in some other Hadiith he -sAaws- also said that "Allaah has obligated upon His slaves 5 solaah every night and day, so who prayes them on their specified times, perfects their wudhu, rukuu`, sujuud, and khushuu`, they have a promise with Allaah that He will forgive them. And Who doesn`t do, then he has no contract with Allaah. If He wants, He will forgive him, and if He wants, he will punish him.", or in the near meaning he said -sAaws- and this Hadiith I remember is found in Al-Albanis book of the Solaah of Nabii -sAaws.
So your parents don`t deserve your obedience in your marital affairs, as they are not concerned with Islam, and you are by it seeking to strengthen your Deen. So I definitely am sure that you need not doubt. You have done right, if your heart is sincere in seeking only Allaahs Face in your marriage, or even if you did it also because you fell in love. It`s the same. You still saved yourself. May Allaah accept you both, and protect you, and bless you and bless whatever He gives you, and may He guide your parents to make tawbah to Him. Aamiin.
