    Lawyers are a business, and unless they are court appointed, you have to pay them, They will be interested in any case where you pay them their fees.

    Court appointed are divided by two types, Paid public defender departments, and others where they require criminal attonneys who practice in that court to take a number of free cases each year.

    They will do a fair basic defense, but free is not including investigations, and many other costs, So they will see that your rights are not violated, not much else.

    So they are not there to see "justice" they are their to make money
