PA Firearm laws for non violent felons
Would an ex-felon be convicted if he visited a home that he didn't know had firearms?
Also, if a person is a hunter, can they put their guns locked in their car if an ex-felon is visiting them? Does an ex-felon have to ask everyone that he visits to get rid of their firearms because he is visiting them. Especially if they are hunters and have thousands of dollars tied up in their rifles and they are relatives and not criminals.
A lot of people have firearms in their homes for protection.

I'm reading that a felon (you are saying "ex-felon" - was there a pardon of some sort) cannot LIVE in a house with firearms or have ACCESS to firearms. I'm assumign that someone who has thousands of dollars tied up in firearms has a gun safe/cabinet and keeps his firearms secure and under lock and key.

Yes, a lot of people have firearms in their homes for protection.

In order to be convicted a felon would have to be arrested - the Police would have to know he was in a house that had firearms.

I think more info is needed if you have a specific info and are not seeking general info.

Note: for the purpose of the following answers, the term "ex-felon" is assumed to mean a convicted felon whose civil rights have not been restored.

No, if the jury believed he didn't know about them.

They can if they want. The burden isn't on them to do or not do anything in particular. In order to avoid having their guest get in legal trouble, however, that might be one possible course of action.

Not unless the felon's parole officer or other person in similar place of authority has instructed him/her to do that.

    Hello mr.

Get serious, Dude. Do you think that I must tell EVERYBODY I visit for the rest of my life to remove their guns before I get there, because I'm a felon?? Do you think the law requires that?? Dude!
