Hi, me and my husband have been trying to conceive for almost 2 years and from the month we starting trying my cycles completely changed. They were really regular before (we were using condoms) and now I bleed and spot for most of the month. e.g. this month had my period and continued to spot until day 15. Didn't ovulate till day 23. Then started bleeding/spotting (usually brown) at 7dpo, which is actually really good for me as it normally starts at 3dpo when we've had sex around ovulation.

After having a few months off, we have realised that it is something to do with my husbands sperm. If we don't have sex, I don't bleed until my period comes. I don't know why his sperm is affecting me so badly, but it is obviously stopping us from getting pregnant.

I have had every blood test done possible. I had a hysteroscopy (came back I had tiny lesions in my cervix, but probably aren't the cause of this problem) and laparoscopy (ok). I've had smears, which are all OK. My husbands sperm count is OK.

I am not stressed in anyway, just annoyed slightly with this constant spotting!

No one seems to know what is wrong with me. When you start trying to conceive, it's amazing what things can change your cycle. Your cycle length seems to be OK, but I'm not sure what the cramping could be, unless it's period cramps. I should speak to your doctor.

It's frustrating when things happen for no reason at all, I just hope one day someone has some answers.
