I have main24e boiler.I noticed 3 weeks ago. That hot water from the boiler was not hot as it normaly I had for showering.so I called an engneer to check it out. He told me that heat exchanger was blocked up that need replacing.so I had him replace the heat exchanger.the hot water went back to normel hot .
But every now and then boiler would not fire up.and flame failur light started to show up.by resetting few times it would fire up .I called the engneer he told me to flush the central heating system and give couple of weeks for the heat exchanger to settle,I have carried out the flushing problem of boiler not fireing up is still there .I have been reseting and the pump comes on it sounds like it wants to fire up.then it will fire up on it is own will .and can work all day no problem.please advise
I called the engneer again he seem to be not intrested he said he really don't know what else could be wrong .that these are cheap boilers as the boiler is 5 years old .that is all they are good for .please advise .
