    Just want to be sure what we are talking about because you have some typos here. You have a switch that controlks both a ceiling fan and a wall receptacle and you want to know the colors plan for the outlet, right? If so, you have a brass screw which gets the hot wire, black. A silver screw gets the neutral white wire.
