    Where is ICM in a 89 plymouth voyager 4 cylinder turbo?
    Cannot find the ignition control module. Don't even really know what it looks like. Have searched for the part.. can't find any hints. Any one where it is? And how do I remove it and check if its bad.

    Do you mean Engine Control Module (ECM on some but called Single Module Engine Controller [SMEC] on your vehicle)?
    It is mounted in the engine compartment on the left side.
    What are your symptoms? Any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)?

    In another question I posted someone said it was my ICM and ignition coil. I called autozone about 5 minutes ago and they said I don't have an ICM. So I'm lost now. My symptoms are its hard to start,and bad stall or hesitation when I accelerate. And the code says I have a shorted or loose speed sensor. Someone also said that isn't my problem.I've been trying to fix this for over 6 months and no luck on anyone's suggestions. Everyone says something different then the last person. Just checked timing belt.. isn't that.

    Chances are the coil will read out of spec and need replacement but there may still be problems elsewhere.
    I think what the previous diagnosis found was that coil and the ECM. Both are known to have high failure rates.

    Here's a look at some of what your system has on-board (except for the diagnostic scan tool):

    If any of these components (except the relays) are out of range from normal, you can get poor performance.
    What does the maintenance history look like? Does your Voyager get routine tune-ups, filters, etc?

    No I got it this van from my grandpa. I doubt he did anything too it. I haven't done a tune up yet. Everything looks factory and old except for all the parts I have replaced in the past few months. I'm changing coil, distributor cap and rotor , also doing oil change. Hopefully this is it. I did notice when checking my distributor cap one of the prongs the rotor hits was bent away like it could miss it. Could that be it?

    It is quite possible that at least some of the problem is due to unsufficiant maintenance. Get the cap and rotor but you may want to replace the spark plugs and maybe even the spark plug wires as they break down over time, too.
    How does the air filter look? Do you know how to replace the fuel filter? That may also be due.
    Since you've had the van, what has been done?

    I've changed the spark plugs about 2months ago. Also changed ; fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, alternator, radiator, head gaskets and all gaskets that came in kit.
